Phi 1.2.0

Version 1.2.0Build 503

What's new

Phi Browser v1.2.0 is a minor version release, which is our legally safe way of saying: nothing exploded, but quite a few things are now less annoying. But we did bump 1 in the middle section of the version number, because, why not.

The New Tab Page has been polished up with a few additional features and some cosmetic glitches quietly removed from society. It now feels cleaner, calmer, and marginally less likely to make a designer stare into the middle distance.

We also improved the agentic workflow experience, especially the bits you see while your AI assistant is busy doing something for you. The UI now gives a clearer sense of what is happening while the agent works, instead of leaving you wondering whether it is thinking deeply, fetching something, or simply having a tiny silicon crisis. Give it a task and see what happens.

There is now a proper Bookmark menu as well. In Balanced and Performance modes, bookmarks already sit quite naturally in the sidebar, so we rather smugly assumed everyone would figure it out. In Comfortable mode, with its more familiar Chrome-like layout, that assumption was perhaps a touch optimistic. So now there is a menu, civilisation survives, and bookmarks are where more people expect them to be.

Finally, Phi now includes a standalone conversation management dialog, giving you a clearer place to view and manage your agent conversation history. Because once your browser can work with agents, memory, and context, it probably deserves something better than a drawer full of mysterious ghosts.

So yes, v1.2.0 is minor. But it makes Phi Browser a little clearer, a little smoother, and a little more pleasant to live with. A modest release, with fewer rough edges and slightly less nonsense.
